NEW CANAAN, CT, July 28, 2025 – Gridiron Capital, LLC (“Gridiron Capital” or “Gridiron”), an investment firm focused on partnering with founders, entrepreneurs, and management teams, is pleased to announce an investment in Greenix (the “Company”), one of the largest independent pest control companies in the US. Greenix and Gridiron’s collaboration harnesses the team’s combined strengths, merging Gridiron’s residential services expertise with Greenix’s strong track record. Gridiron believes this partnership sets the foundation for transformative success driven by a shared growth mindset.
Greenix provides comprehensive and eco-conscious pest control solutions, including general pest, mosquito and tick management, and rodent removal, as well as specialty services such as bed bug mitigation and termite control. Established in 2011 and headquartered in Orem, UT, the Company protects over 250,000 households through 37 branches across 19 markets in 16 states, with a strong presence in the Midwest and the Northeast. Greenix is led by Chairman and CEO Bob Nilsen alongside an experienced management team. Since its inception, the Company has completed five strategic add-on acquisitions: Rise Pest Control (December 2021), Bamboo Services (November 2023), Insight Pest Solutions (May 2024), ProActive/Spidexx (March 2025), and Rove Pest Control (June 2025).
Greenix is an industry-leading pest control company, guided by its skilled management team, stable and recurring service model, strong customer retention, and clear revenue visibility. The Company’s diversified customer acquisition strategy, robust organic growth engine, distinctive single-brand strategy, and multiple avenues for expansion—both in existing and new markets, as well as through strategic M&A—provide significant upside potential. Gridiron is excited to partner with the Greenix team and add value by leveraging its Centers of Excellence and sharing functional best practices from the firm’s portfolio, particularly drawing on deep expertise within the residential services sector from prior investments in Leaf Home, Erie Home, Legacy Service Partners, and GarageCo.
Kevin Jackson, Managing Partner at Gridiron, said, “We’re inspired to partner with the team at Greenix, a trusted leader in eco-conscious pest control, serving over 250,000 households with its unified brand. Their dedication to sustainable, customer-focused solutions mirrors our values, and we’re energized to collaborate in fueling their growth as they redefine pest control excellence.”
John Warner, Managing Director at Gridiron, added, “We believe Gridiron is uniquely equipped to support Greenix’s continued growth by providing access to a network of leading residential services professionals within our portfolio, and leveraging the expertise of our Operating Partners and Centers of Excellence, particularly within Digital Marketing and M&A Integration. Given its position in a high-growth, fragmented sector of residential services, the Company is well-positioned to continue expanding across North America, both organically and through M&A. We are excited and eager to begin working alongside Bob Nilsen and the Greenix team to drive exceptional results and unlock the full potential of our partnership.”
Bob Nilsen, Greenix CEO, commented, “We have built Greenix into an industry-leading pest control business by serving and treating customers the right way. We are thrilled to partner with Gridiron, who believes in this vision and brings significant marketing and operational expertise to help drive our continued growth and expansion. Gridiron stood out as the ideal partner for Greenix’s next phase of growth given their extensive experience and success in the residential services sector, as well as their unique Centers of Excellence capabilities and ‘Winning Together’ partnership approach. We are excited to partner with Gridiron to build on Greenix’s momentum and execute on a shared vision for long-term, sustainable growth.”
Goldman Sachs & Co LLC served as the financial advisor and Greenberg Traurig LLP as legal counsel to Gridiron. William Blair served as the financial advisor to Greenix.
Financial terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
