NEW YORK (May 7, 2025) – Holland & Knight continues to strengthen its Corporate, M&A and Securities Practice Group with the addition of Hyung Soo Kim as a partner in New York. Mr. Kim will also be a key member of the Firm's Korea Practice Team. Before joining Holland & Knight, he was a partner at Arnold & Porter in its Seoul and New York offices.
Mr. Kim represents major multinational companies on the buy and sell sides of their domestic and cross-border transactions. He has extensive experience handling complex mergers and acquisitions (M&A) and other innovative business combinations and arrangements, as well as the spectrum of related legal issues.
"Hyung Soo represents an exciting opportunity to enhance the cross-border capabilities of our leading corporate platform and globally recognized Korea practice," said David Cole, leader of Holland & Knight's Korea Practice Team. "His considerable experience with complex M&A transactions and his strong relationships with major Korean companies and investors will significantly bolster our offerings to clients."

Mr. Kim leads corporate transactions with an emphasis on enhancing economic benefits, corporate protections and effecting timely closures. He advises the executive leadership of multinational companies across a broad spectrum of industries and geographies on an array of legal and business concerns, manages all aspects of transactions and guides clients to desirable outcomes. Additionally, Mr. Kim has strong skills in drafting, reviewing and negotiating M&A transactions and other key contracts and business agreements.

Mr. Kim received an LL.M. degree from the University of Southern California Gould School of Law and an LL.B. degree from Yonsei University. He is admitted to practice law in New York and is also licensed as a Foreign Legal Consultant in Korea.
