Hello!
I wanted to reach out to everyone in hopes that you made it safely though the horrible Los Angeles fires. January was definitely the time for hugging friends and family and being there for your loved ones. As I reflect on my first year as Chapter President, I want to thank our Board of Directors who consistently assisted with planning events, kept our finances in line and utilized the services of our wonderful sponsors. For any of you who have sat on a board, you can probably relate to calling it your “second full time job.” Once again, I need to recognize our sponsors and reiterate how grateful we are for their support and expertise in the industry, adding to the success of our group. We will continue to highlight them throughout the year, and I encourage you to get to know them better at our events.
Our group celebrated 50 years since inception and last year we honored Dick Gilbert and Fred Lionetti, long time officers and members, at our annual Holiday Party in December. We began initially as the Commercial Finance Conference of California (CFCC) and more recently became SFNet SoCal to match the change in the national organization’s name. Our goal has always been to hold events that are fun, offer extensive networking and give all attendees an outlet to work together with others in the financial industry. Whether you are a Lender, Banker, Attorney, CPA, Consultant or Appraiser or provide a service to the Financial Industry, we welcome your membership and participation in all of our activities. Upcoming events as well as information about our sponsors can always be found on the www.sfnet.com website. 2025 will offer a variety of regional happy hours, educational webinars, social get togethers, golf outings and sponsor recognition events. Our membership campaign is in full force, and we hope that you sign up and identify the benefits of becoming a member for the first time or renewing your membership for this year. SFNet SoCal continues to be a thriving organization, and we consistently recognize the value of our members and sponsors. Remember to sign up for our first event of the year, where we get to know and recognize our sponsors – March 6th, 5:30 pm – 8:00 pm at Drago Centro www.sfnet.com (information website)
For many of us, the Commercial Finance world has been part of our professional lives for many years. We have colleagues, co-workers and managers who have become mentors, mentees and most importantly friends. I look forward to seeing all of you at future meetings and don’t hesitate to reach out to myself or the rest of our Board with any questions or suggestions or if you would like to get more involved. Wishing you the best in 2025 and see you soon. Carrie Jenkins, President SFNet SoCal
All the best.
Carrie Jenkins,
President SFNet SoCal Chapter
