SFNet has submitted a comment letter opposing the Illinois commercial finance disclosure legislation, which is similar to New York’s law, but has the additional requirements of licensing and a database. Last year, SFNet was instrumental in lowering the threshold from $2.5 million to $500,000 and deferring the original iteration, but the new bill does not include that change. The SFNet is working with our Illinois lobbyist to effect the best outcome for the industry.
SFNet will host an informational webinar on March 26 (registration will open tomorrow 3/13 at Sfnet.com) on the current state of disclosure legislation.
