New York, NY – January 22, 2024 – CohnReznick LLP, one of the leading advisory, assurance, and tax firms in the United States, today announced that Peter Rodwick, CPA has joined the firm as a tax partner in its Financial Services practice. Based in Los Angeles, Rodwick has nearly two decades of experience providing tax services to large and mid-size alternative investment funds and their management companies.

With extensive experience serving private equity funds, distressed debt funds, and fund of funds, Rodwick analyzes the tax impact of structuring events such as fund mergers; contributed property; 734(b) redemptions; corporate blockers; Alternative Investment Fund (“AIF”) structures; and side-pocket investments. He also advises on international tax issues relative to structures involving inbound and outbound investments including PFIC vs. Controlled Foreign Corporation status; excess distributions; and QEF elections. This includes understanding how investments in alternative vehicles will impact foreign and tax-exempt investors.
