Firm Earns a Top Score of 100 in 2023-2024 Corporate Equality Index

New York, NY – January 11, 2024 – CohnReznick LLP, one of the leading advisory, assurance, and tax firms in the United States, earned a top score of 100 (out of 100) on the Human Rights Campaign Foundation’s 2023-2024 Corporate Equality Index (CEI). As the national benchmarking tool measuring policies, practices, and benefits pertinent to lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and queer (LGBTQ+) employees, the Human Rights Campaign Foundation’s CEI is a driving force for LGBTQ+ workplace inclusion.

“At CohnReznick, a core tenet of our purpose is creating opportunities for our people. Part of this is embracing emerging best practices in LGBTQ+ workplace equity, inclusion and social responsibility,” said Kim Kilkenney, CohnReznick’s Chief People Officer. “In 2023, we were thrilled to be among the top 5 accounting firms for LGBTQ+ diversity in the 2024 Vault Accounting 25 rankings. As we continue to foster a workplace culture built on equity, inclusion and belonging, we are honored to now be recognized by the Human Rights Campaign for our efforts. Our 100 score on the CEI serves as an indicator of our continual commitment and progress.”

CohnReznick joins 1,384 major U.S. businesses that were ranked in the 2023-2024 CEI. The CEI rates employers providing non-discrimination protections to over 20 million U.S. workers and an additional 18 million outside of the U.S. Companies rated in the CEI include Fortune magazine’s 500 largest publicly traded businesses as well as many other publicly and privately held mid- to large-sized businesses.

The CEI rates companies on detailed criteria falling under four central pillars:

●          Non-discrimination policies across business entities

●          Equitable benefits for LGBTQ+ workers and their families

●          Supporting an inclusive culture

●          Corporate social responsibility

“For well over two decades, businesses have played an important role in furthering LGBTQ+ equality by centering employee needs and voices when it comes to workplace inclusion. While there is much more work to be done, year-over-year growth in CEI participation is evidence of a business community that recognizes the responsibility and value in upholding equity and inclusion,” said RaShawn “Shawnie” Hawkins, Human Rights Campaign Senior Director of Workplace Equality.
