New York, NY – December 28, 2023 – CohnReznick LLP, one of the leading advisory, assurance, and tax firms in the United States, today announced that Charles (Chuck) Kavanagh, CPA has joined the firm as an assurance partner. Based in the Northeast, Kavanagh has more than two decades of experience providing attestation services, primarily across the consumer and industrial manufacturing industries including aerospace and defense, power production, life sciences, and plastics.

Kavanagh’s strong technical experience comprises business combinations, financial statement carveouts, debt and equity transactions, share-based compensation, and long-lived asset impairments. His extensive SEC reporting experience includes public offerings of debt and stock as well as annual and quarterly reporting to the SEC. In addition, Kavanagh’s regulatory compliance experience includes the implementation of SOX internal controls; reviewing SEC 34 Act filings (Form 10K, 10Q, and 8K), SEC 3 Act filings (S-1, S-3, S-4, S-8), and related comfort letters; U.S. GAAP and IFRS reporting; and advising clients on proactively managing SEC and PCAOB regulatory changes.

Before joining CohnReznick, Kavanagh was a partner for a Big 4 firm where he served as the audit engagement partner for two components of a Fortune 100 aerospace and defense company’s engagement and was the engagement partner at the issuer level for multiple SEC clients. He earned a BBA, Accounting, and MS, Accountancy, from the University of Notre Dame, is a licensed CPA in Connecticut, and has experience with Oracle and Hyperion.
