December 14, 2023, Norwalk, CT – Encina Private Credit (“EPC”) is pleased to announce Mike Hensinger has been named Chief Executive Officer, effective immediately. Hensinger has also joined the EPC Board of Directors. Mike joined EPC in June 2022 as President and Chief Commercial Officer to lead originations, syndications, and product development where he helped drive double digit growth in the business. Prior to EPC Mike was a senior executive at Synchrony Financial where he led M&A and venture capital. Hensinger spent 14 years at GE Capital in various leadership roles across leveraged finance, commercial finance, and cross border finance in the US and Asia.
John Ryan, founding CEO of EPC, will continue to play an important role with the company as Chairman of the Board of Directors.
“We are pleased to have Mike take on this expanded leadership role for the company as CEO where he will continue to focus on driving growth for the business by delivering our unique private credit solutions to our partners,” said John Ryan.
“I am excited to continue the strong partnership with John in this expanded role to enhance our position in the private credit market.” Hensinger said. “We are building a premier non-bank specialty finance company focused on helping our direct lending partners deliver cost-effective unitranche solutions to their prospective borrowers.”
