- Orion Mountainspring has rejoined Orrick as a partner in the firm’s Structured Finance group in New York.
- Orion brings deep experience in securitizations and other asset-based financings in the fintech and solar energy spaces, aligning with Orrick’s leading practices serving both of those markets, as well as a foundation in consumer lending.
- Orrick’s securitization practice, which ranks Tier 1 (Legal 500), is well known for innovation in esoterics and new applications of securitization techniques.
“We’re thrilled to bring Orion’s talent back to our firm as we continue to collaborate with our clients on novel securitization structures and expand our offerings in the ABS markets,” said Rob Moyle, co-head of Orrick’s Structured Finance Group.
“I’m excited to rejoin the incredible securitization team at Orrick and help them innovate in the ABS market to help our clients achieve their financing goals,” said Orion.
Orion was most recently a partner at Chapman and Cutler and previously served as a senior director at S&P Global. He began his career as an Orrick associate for seven years.
Orion advises warehouse lenders and borrowers, forward flow and static pool loan purchasers and issuers, underwriters, and investors in public and private conduit and term transactions backed by a variety of asset classes. He has worked with issuers and underwriters to develop multiple solar securitization programs and has advised on the securitization of more than $6 billion in solar loans over the past five years.
