Deepens Industry Relationships and Long-standing European Presence
LONDON – (25 October 2023) – Vision Ridge Partners (“Vision Ridge” or the “Firm”), a global sustainable real assets investor, today announced the opening of its London office to support the Firm’s global investment activity.
Located in St. James, the new office marks Vision Ridge’s first non-U.S. office and seeks to build upon the Firm’s deep industry relationships and long-standing boots-on-the-ground presence in the region. The London office will serve as Vision Ridge’s regional hub, providing the Firm with a larger dedicated local work force, increased visibility into investment opportunities and partnerships, and expanded resources for new and existing portfolio companies globally.
“We are thrilled to open our London office, which formalizes our presence abroad, as we seek to not only continue to grow our portfolio of investments in support of the transition to a lower-carbon economy, but also deepen our institutional relationships in the region,” said Reuben Munger, Managing Partner and Chief Investment Officer of Vision Ridge. “Vision Ridge has a demonstrated history of sourcing and executing investments across Europe, and we believe now is the right time in our Firm’s evolution to cement our position in London.”
The London office opening follows Vision Ridge’s investments in the region, including Fjord1, Norway’s largest owner and operator of ferries, and Loch Duart, a company with salmon farming assets in Scotland. Under Vision Ridge’s ownership, the proportion of vessels in operation at Fjord1 that are electric has increased by over 50%, while Loch Duart has increased its production footprint of premium-branded salmon farmed in lower densities and with a focus on animal welfare. Vision Ridge will seek to continue building its portfolio with investments the Firm believes have the potential to achieve strong financial returns as well as positive climate mitigation and/or adaptation outcomes.
“Expanding Vision Ridge’s presence in London is a marker of the progress we believe we have made in identifying, developing, and transforming complex assets across energy, transportation, and agriculture. We look forward to cultivating new and existing strategic relationships globally as we seek to continue executing our investment strategy for our clients,” added George Polk, a London-based Partner of Vision Ridge.
Vision Ridge’s first international office builds upon its existing presence in the United States, where the Firm maintains offices in Colorado, New York, and California, and has invested in and helped to scale sustainable real assets, including battery storage provider, Key Capture Energy, renewable natural gas developer, Vanguard Renewables, and public vehicle charging network, EVgo. The London office opening follows several other initiatives Vision Ridge has executed this year in support of its continued growth, including the hirings of Jamie Pannese as Principal of People and Chris Tehranian as Head of Investor Relations.
About Vision Ridge Partners
By seeking to deliver superior investment returns, Vision Ridge mobilizes capital to address humanity’s greatest challenge: climate change. The Vision Ridge team seeks to leverage its diverse, complementary skillsets, deep industry experience, and strong network of relationships to execute investments across sustainable real assets with a focus on energy, transportation and agriculture. Vision Ridge manages approximately $3.25 billion on behalf of institutional investors globally, as of September 30, 2023. For more information visit: https://vision-ridge.com.__________________
