NEW YORK, January 18, 2023 – Cahill Gordon & Reindel LLP announced today that Christopher Bevan, Samson A. Enzer, Sesi Garimella, Mark Loftus and John MacGregor have been elected to the partnership in Cahill’s New York office, and Tom Rocher has been elected to the partnership in the firm’s London office.
“We are pleased to welcome six outstanding lawyers to our partnership,” said William M. Hartnett, Cahill's Executive Committee Chairman. “They have demonstrated a tremendous commitment to our clients, providing them remarkable service. We are proud to celebrate their promotion.”
“Sam, Sesi, John and Tom have been elected as partners in our litigation department, where they provide great advantage and dedication to our clients in our premier practice. They will continue to ensure our clients receive the extraordinary service to which they are accustomed.”
“Chris and Mark have been elected as partners in our corporate department, where they provide great value and depth to our market-leading global finance practice. They, too, will continue the Cahill tradition of providing exceptional client service.”
Mr. Bevan and Mr. Loftus represent leading investment banks, institutional investors and commercial banks in connection with public and private capital markets transactions and bank financings, including secured and unsecured high yield debt securities, equity offerings, asset backed loans, and liability management transactions in connection with acquisition financings, leveraged buyouts, going-private transactions, recapitalizations, bridge lending and loan commitments and other financing transactions.
Mr. Enzer, a distinguished former Assistant United States Attorney in the United States Attorney’s Office for the Southern District of New York and member of the Securities and Commodities Fraud Task Force, represents companies and individuals in high-stakes criminal and regulatory enforcement matters, internal corporate investigations, and civil litigation, often in cases involving the finance and cryptocurrency industries. He is widely recognized as one of the nation’s leading experts on cryptocurrency issues.
Ms. Garimella and Mr. MacGregor represent global corporations and financial institutions in commercial and securities litigation and appeals, as well as before government and regulatory bodies in matters concerning criminal inquiries, government investigations, and securities and antitrust matters.
Mr. Rocher represents financial institutions and global corporations in complex litigation, internal investigations and regulatory inquiries by a variety of agencies in the US, Europe and Asia, most notably the Financial Conduct Authority in the UK.
Cahill is also pleased to announce that the firm has elected Margaret Barone, Danielle Brown, Samir Kurani, Jennifer Potts, Sara Ortiz and Marc Shepsman as Counsel to the firm.
These elections follow the arrival of two new partners in Cahill’s New York office, Gerald J. Flattmann Jr. and Emeka C. Chinwuba. Mr. Flattmann serves as the chair of Cahill's life sciences patent litigation practice. His practice focuses on intellectual property matters, including pharmaceutical and biotechnology patent litigation. Mr. Chinwuba serves as a partner in the corporate practice. His practice focuses on project development and financing transactions, particularly for renewable energy and infrastructure projects in the Americas and Sub-Saharan Africa.
