Matt Simon Joins in the Southeast Market
Westport, CT – March 16, 2022 – Great Rock Capital, an asset-focused commercial finance company specializing in middle market lending, today announced Matt Simon has joined the firm as Managing Director of Originations. Matt will be based in Atlanta and is responsible for expanding origination efforts in Alabama, Georgia, and Tennessee, while also working with Lori Potter, Managing Director of Originations, in the Florida market.
“We are happy to welcome Matt to the team,” said Stuart Armstrong, CEO of Great Rock Capital. “Matt’s extensive lending and credit expertise, coupled with his long-standing relationships in the Southeast, will add immediate value in driving our continued growth in this very important market.”
Matt joins Great Rock with over 20 years of experience in middle market lending. Most recently, he was a Senior Vice President at Huntington National Bank, where he primarily focused on originating asset-based transactions. In addition, Matt previously held origination roles with UMB Bank, First Capital, and Guaranty Business Credit. He is a former board member and past president of the Secured Finance Network’s Atlanta chapter and earned his B.A. in Finance from the University of Georgia.
