Peter B. Zlotnick, a Partner of Moritt Hock & Hamroff LLP, was recently appointed by the New York City Bar Association (NYCB) to serve on its Cooperative & Condominium Law Committee, effective August 1, 2021, for a three-year term.

The NYCB's Cooperative and Condominium Law Committee addresses issues pertaining to cooperative and condominium housing law in a variety of areas. Such areas include the changes in the policies of lenders and working with lenders to address those policies and other issues (both with respect to end loans and underlying mortgages), recent legislation in the New York State Legislature and in the New York City Council, discrimination in coops and condos, reasonable accommodations and issues between boards and apartment owners. Our members speak regularly with the Office of the Attorney General Real Estate Finance Bureau and serve on the committees of other organizations so that efforts in the industry are often coordinated.

Peter B. Zlotnick focuses his practice on real estate matters and complex construction defect litigation as well as complex commercial and healthcare disputes.  His clients include commercial and residential developers, co-op and condominium boards, design professionals, private equity firms and high net worth individuals. He also litigates corporate governance, business torts, bankruptcy and other types of business disputes.  In addition, Mr. Zlotnick serves as a federal equity receiver in consumer fraud federal equity receiverships for the Federal Trade Commission.  He earned his J.D. from Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law Yeshiva University and his Masters from Harvard University.
