AlixPartners, the global consulting firm, announced that Brian Kalms has joined as a Managing Director. Brian will focus on helping retail clients achieve business transformation through strategic technology innovation.
Brian, who will be based in London, brings to AlixPartners more than 30 years of experience in management consulting and technology strategy. He has held senior leadership roles at Accenture and most recently at Elixirr, where he was the Lead Partner for Retail and Consumer and helped build the firm’s retail practice. In addition, he led various assignments including strategic reviews, international expansions, digital transformations, business process changes, organizational realignments, and multi-channel systems introductions, with a focus on business value and tangible results.
Additionally, Brian serves on the UK board of directors of Magen David Adom, Israel's national emergency medical, disaster, ambulance, and blood bank service. He received a Bachelor of Arts Honors degree in Economics & Econometrics from the University of Nottingham, UK. “Brian’s extensive digital transformation expertise, combined with deep knowledge of the retail and consumer sectors, will help our clients realize strategic advantages in a significantly disrupted sector,” said Simon Freakley, CEO of AlixPartners. “Brian’s hands-on leadership style and experience helping businesses transform to meet their most complex challenges will enhance our overall business transformation capabilities.
