Riemer & Braunstein LLP, a law firm specializing in the representation of financial institutions and debt and equity funds in national and regional commercial finance and real estate finance transactions, today announced the promotion of four lawyers to senior partner, as well as the hiring of two lawyers in its New York office strengthening its Real Estate Finance Practice Area.
“The firm is excited to announce the well-deserved elevation of four key members of our finance practice to senior partnership,” said Kevin Lyons, a member of the firm’s Executive Committee and a Co-Chair of the firm’s Real Estate Finance Practice Area. Kevin Murtagh, also a member of the firm’s Executive Committee and a Co-Chair of the firm’s Commercial Finance Practice Area, added “the firm remains committed to recognizing the contributions of those attorneys who have demonstrated a dedication to the firm and provide high-quality legal services to our clients.”
New Senior Partner in Commercial Finance:
Jaime Rachel Koff. Jaime graduated from Boston College Law School in 2006. Jaime was a member of the firm’s summer program in 2005 and became a junior partner in 2013. Jaime works primarily out of our Boston office. Jaime’s practice focuses on financing for commercial lenders with particular emphasis on asset-based and cash flow transactions.
New Senior Partners in Real Estate Finance:
Jonathan P. Baumstark. Jon graduated from University of Pennsylvania Law School in 2001. Since joining the firm as a junior partner in 2017, Jon has practiced in the firm’s New York office.
Christina Egan Shvartsman. Christina graduated from Northeastern University School of Law in 2003. Christina joined the firm in 2015 as a junior partner in the firm’s Boston office.
Thomas D. Gianturco. Tom graduated from Northwestern School of Law in 2007. Tom joined the firm’s Chicago office in 2011 and became a junior partner in the firm in 2015
Jonathan, Christina and Tom each represent financial institutions and other institutional clients in connection with single-lender and agented, multi-lender construction, mezzanine, and permanent financing projects on a local, regional, and national basis.
The firm also recently added two attorneys to its real estate finance team in New York, further broadening the firm’s national reach.
Serhat Krause. Serhat graduated in 2006 from The Catholic University of America, Columbus School of Law. Serhat most recently practiced at Debevoise & Plimpton LLP. Serhat has joined the firm as a junior partner. Serhat has a broad range of experience in the representation of lenders, developers and equity investors in all aspects of real estate and real estate finance transactions.
Benjamin Schachter. Ben is a 2016 graduate of Brooklyn Law School. Ben previously practiced at the New York law firm of Goldstein Hall PLLC and has joined the firm as an associate.
