Bringing Together the Resources That Put Capital to Work
Welcome to the Secured Finance Network (SFNet), your essential professional community. We’re happy that you joined. As an employee of a member company, you now have access to a variety of benefits including education and event discounts, and a free subscription to The Secured Lender, the most trusted news source for the ABL, factoring, and supply chain industries worldwide, and more.
As with any worthwhile pursuit, you get out of it what you put in. The following pages provide information on ways to become involved in our vibrant community and get the most out of your membership.
Our Community
Founded in 1944, SFNet has nearly 300 member companies and an active network comprised of over 20,000 professionals. There are several special interest groups to explore and connect with like-minded individuals. Whether you are a young professional (YoPro) looking to network or a woman in secured finance (WISF) interested in meeting other professionals who share your priorities, our groups are a great place to start.
If shaping the future of our industry is more your speed, check out one of our Committees. We are always looking for volunteers.
Additionally, SFNet has 22 local Chapters across the US, Canada and Europe that provide a host of programs and networking opportunities right in your own back yard. Chapter membership is separate from national membership and may apply on an individual versus a company basis. Additional details on SFNet Chapters can be found here.
SFNet.com is your best resource for the most up-to-date information about our association, our mission, and all of the latest happenings within our community. Our Member Directory enables you to easily search our database of member companies for financing opportunities by loan size, type of finance, or industry, making it simple to get deals done. Likewise, our Service Provider Directory helps you find the resources your business needs to be successful.
For discounts on education, events and updates on other SFNet activities, create your member profile in the SFNet Member Center. Once you are on our mailing list, you can customize your preferences to meet your specific needs.
Be sure to connect with us on LinkedIn and follow us on Twitter.
Events
Attending a SFNet event is a great way to connect with colleagues, exchange ideas and stay up-to-date on the latest issues and challenges facing our industry. The SFNet Annual Convention, held every November, brings together 1,000+ attendees along with thought leaders such as Jeb Bush (American businessman and politician) and Ben Bernanke (former Chairman of the Federal Reserve) and fantastic entertainment from the likes of Lyle Lovett and Buddy Guy. It has been the premier networking event for the secured finance industry for 75 years.
Conferences such as the SFNet Asset-Based Capital Conference, SFNet WISF Conference and the SFNet International Lending Conference offer insights from world-class speakers such as Sallie Krawcheck, Venus Williams, and Sheila Bair among others.
SFNet events attract a diverse group of secured finance professionals:
- You’ll find the full SFNet Calendar of Events on our website.
- Our members often participate in roundtable discussions, offer their expertise and present at our events. If you are interested in learning more about speaking opportunities, contact Jeff Walsh, Director of Conferences & Events, at jwalsh@sfnetcom.

Our Annual Asset-Based Lending & Factoring Survey has measured year-to-year asset-based lending and factoring activity since 1976 while trends in asset-based lending are demonstrated in SFNet’s Quarterly ABL Index. The Quarterly ABL Index provides new business and portfolio performance indicators for both large and entrepreneurial SFNet members on quarter-by-quarter basis. To participate contact Aydan Savaser, SFNet Data at asavaser@sfnet.com.
