Former First Citizens Bank (CIT) Chief Credit Officer joins Executive Management Team as Legacy scales its asset-based lending platform.
PLANO, TX, October 9, 2026, Legacy Corporate Lending (“Legacy”) a specialty asset-based lender, today announced the appointment of Anthony Masci as Chief Risk Officer. Based in New York, Masci joins Legacy’s Executive Management Team as the firm continues to grow its diversified ABL platform. He will work closely with the Chief Executive Officer, Clark Griffith, and Chief Investment Officer, Paul Martin, in expanding the credit function, strengthening underwriting and portfolio management, while also contributing to the firm’s growth initiatives.
Masci brings more than 20 years of experience across asset-based lending, middle-market finance, specialty finance, trade finance, and structured lending.
Most recently, Masci served as the Chief Credit Officer of Working Capital Finance at First Citizens Bank (formerly CIT Group), where he led credit strategy, underwriting and portfolio management for an approximately $8 billion commercial lending platform. He oversaw a team of 75 professionals, with responsibility for complex middle-market and sponsor-backed transactions across a broad range of industries.
Prior to becoming Chief Credit Officer, Masci spent 14 years at CIT Group as Director and Co-Head of Underwriting & Portfolio Management for their Commercial & Industrial and Asset-Based Lending platform. He began his career in the Global Fixed Income group at Bank of New York Mellon. He holds an MBA with concentrations in Finance, Financial Instruments & Markets, and Economics from New York University's Stern School of Business and a BSBA in Finance from Boston University's School of Management.
