Goodman Factors, a name that for nearly 50 years has been tantamount to reputable and innovative factoring service to businesses nationwide, is changing. Goodman Factors is now Goodman Capital Finance, a name that better reflects its new and broader product offering. In addition to the name change, Goodman Capital Finance will be incorporating a sophisticated graphic look to reflect the company’s new image. What is not changing is Goodman’s high level of commitment and personalized service to its clients. This is in large part due to the combined experience and long term continuity among the organization’s operational and support staff.
Fast, flexible and competitive, Goodman Capital Finance has strategically evolved its expertise from its earliest days of invoice factoring to the apparel industry, to now include both asset-based lending and factoring in the following diverse arenas: oil field services, staffing agencies, trans-portation firms, government contractors, manufacturers, distributors, service companies, and yes – apparel.
“Through the years, our capitalization and knowledge have allowed us to offer alternative funding solutions and quick decisions at very competitive rates,” said Bret Schuch, Executive Vice Presi-dent and Co-Division Manager. “However, when Goodman Factors joined forces with Independent Bank, the stronger capital structure and lower cost of funds enabled us to offer our clients so much more in terms of specialty lending. With this new arsenal of services, we felt that we had reached a point where our name no longer reflected our abilities. Therefore, a name change was in order.”
Goodman Capital Finance is a division of Independent Bank—a regional bank offering a full range of personal and business banking services. Founded in 1998, Independent Bank is the 2nd larg-est bank headquartered in Shelby County, TN and has continually outperformed its peers in terms of both market share and income. In May of 2014, Independent Bank acquired Goodman Factors allowing the privately-owned specialty lender to offer asset-based lending in addition to the crea-tive solutions Goodman was already offering in invoice factoring. The recent name change to Goodman Capital Finance fully encompasses these newly acquired specialty lending services offered to clients, bankers and brokers nationwide.
”Goodman Capital Finance has been a trusted provider of financing for our business for over 20 years. The staff is wonderful, professional and caring - rare traits in today's business world. Alt-hough Goodman is a much larger company now than when we first started, they have not wa-vered from making us feel valued, appreciated and supported. They certainly will be our financial provider, partner and friend for many more years.” Deborah J., home décor importer, Dallas, Tex-as.
Founded in 1972 and based in Dallas, Texas, Goodman Capital Finance serves the working capi-tal needs of businesses across the country, with funding requirements of anywhere from $10,000 to $10 million.
