United Community Expands Asset-Based Lending Team with Industry Veteran Steve Janson

GREENVILLE, S.C. – September 2026 – United Community has strengthened its Asset-Based Lending (ABL) team with the addition of Steve Janson as Senior ABL Business Development Officer. Janson brings more than 25 years of commercial finance and ABL experience, further enhancing United's ability to deliver flexible financing solutions to middle-market companies throughout the Southeast.
"Steve has built a dependable reputation throughout the secured finance industry for developing relationships, sourcing quality opportunities and helping clients navigate complex financing situations," said Caleb McFaddin, ABL Division Manager for United Community. "His market knowledge, referral network and proven track record of success make him an outstanding addition to our team."
Janson has held senior business development, relationship management and underwriting roles with several prominent banks. He has spent much of his career serving middle market borrowers, private equity, turnaround professionals and referral sources throughout the Southeast. He currently serves as President of the Carolinas Chapter of the Turnaround Management Association (TMA) and is an active member of both the Secured Finance Network (SFNet) and the Association for Corporate Growth (ACG).

He earned an MBA in Finance from the Joseph M. Katz Graduate School of Business at the University of Pittsburgh and a bachelor's degree in Economics from Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University. He lives in Charlotte with his wife and they have four grown children living in the Carolinas and Tennessee.
