William Hughes

Managing Director, Head of U.S. Leveraged Capital Markets, Citigroup Global Markets Inc.

Bill Hughes is a Managing Director and Head of U.S. Leveraged Capital Markets. Based in New York, Mr. Hughes and his team are responsible for structuring and syndicating leveraged financings across the firm's corporate and sponsor client bases. He is also a member of Citi's Leveraged Finance deal Screening and Approval Committees. Mr. Hughes has over 35 year's experience in leveraged finance, providing financing solutions to companies across a variety of industries and geographies.

Mr. Hughes joined Citi in January 2010 from Barclays Capital and Lehman Brothers where he held similar roles. Prior to joining Lehman in 2003, Mt. Hughes was a Managing Director at Deutsche Bank in the Loan Capital Markets Group.

Mr. Hughes received his BA in Economics from The Johns Hopkins University and his MBA in Finance form the Jesse H. Jones Graduate School of Management at Rice University.
