Matthijs Bolkenstein is a banking & finance attorney-at-law and partner at KPMG Meijburg Legal, which is a Dutch based law firm and part of KPMG Law international. Matthijs is specialized in (cross border) finance transactions, including ABL transactions, with a regulatory angle. He is often involved in factoring and receivable finance transactions as well as debt restructuring, collection and work-out processes.  Acting for financiers, servicers and borrowers.

Part of his practice focuses on advising and assisting (non-bank) lenders and corporate borrowers and debt purchasers in portfolio transactions of (non) performing (consumer) debts.

Matthijs heads the KPMG Law EMEA banking expert group and often joins forces with (inter)national debt advisory and restructuring colleagues within the KPMG International network.
