Matthew Sparkes

Managing Director, JPMorgan Chase & Co.

Matt Sparkes is the Head of International for the Asset Based Lending (“ABL”) business at J.P. Morgan and is based out of London. Matt leads a team of 8 across London & Paris responsible for originating, structuring and syndicating cross-border asset-based loans for clients of J.P. Morgan in principally North America, EMEA and APAC.

In addition to new business responsibilities, his team oversee a portfolio with commitments in excess of $7BN.   

Matt has worked at JPM since November 2014. Prior to joining he spent 10 years at Royal Bank of Scotland, principally within their UK-based ABL division. There he held various positions in underwriting, deal origination, portfolio management and business management.

Matt earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Banking, Finance and Management from Loughborough University Business School in the UK graduating in 2004.
