During his 48-year professional career, Marc Mellman spent 20 years as a trial attorney representing banks and financial institutions, 8 years as the chief operating officer of a global energy and environmental brokerage house, and for the past 20 years as a senior executive, general counsel, and management consultant in the alternative financial services industries, with a niche focus on assisting small to medium sized companies with challenges faced from merchant cash advance debt.  Marc is both the Managing Director of Clermont Strategic Consulting, a full-service management consulting firm, and MCA Stacking Solutions, a consulting company that assists factors, lenders, and their clients, to reduce, compromise, settle, and refinance MCA debt.  Previously, Marc was Chief Legal Officer at LSQ Funding Group.  Before his experience in the alternative finance space, Marc was COO of one of the world's leading over-the-counter energy and environmental intermediaries and advisors, and a trial lawyer representing financial institutions in commercial transactions and litigation.  Marc has been a featured speaker in seminars, webinars, and podcasts, and written articles related to the MCA industry.  Marc has also been engaged as an expert witness on this topic. Marc is a member of the Turnaround Management Association, SFNet, the New York Institute of Credit, Garden State Credit Associates organization, and the International Factoring Association, for which he served on the Board of Advisors.  In addition to his law degree, Marc holds an MBA in Finance from Rutgers University.
