Lon Goldstein

For nearly 30 years, Lon Goldstein has guided industry leaders and innovators through complex policy challenges in diverse sectors including financial services, digital assets, technology, and telecommunications.

He is currently a Partner at FedHall, advising clients on policy strategy across a range of emerging and established industries. He joined the firm after founding and leading Goldstein Policy Solutions, where he represented clients including T-Mobile, ASML, the Blockchain Association, Filecoin Foundation, and the DeFi Education Fund on issues ranging from digital asset regulation to international trade strategy.

Previously, as Senior Vice President of Government Relations at CIT Group, Lon established the company’s first Washington, D.C. office and directed its federal affairs strategy through the implementation of Dodd-Frank and the acquisition of OneWest Bank. He also helped manage congressional strategy for the cable industry as a Vice President at the National Cable & Telecommunications Association (NCTA) and held a key government relations role at Merrill Lynch where he contributed to the firm’s response to the 2008 financial crisis.

During the dot-com era, he helped cofound Signeta Holdings, a venture-backed startup, and has recently advised startups and innovators in policy areas such as cybersecurity for autonomous vehicles and on regulatory matters related to high-speed data transmission across continents. Earlier in his career, Lon worked at T-Mobile and CTIA on spectrum policy and telecommunications issues.

Lon began his career on Capitol Hill. He holds a B.A. from Lehigh University and an M.Phil. from the University of Glasgow in Scotland.
