Jeff Thompson brings over three decades of professional experience, having transitioned into the Life Sciences sector 13 years ago after a distinguished 20-year tenure in Financial Services. He currently serves as the leader of the Payments Strategy, Sourcing, and Operations team at Merck, where he holds global responsibility for the procurement and operational management of Corporate Cards, Merchant Agreements, and various payment solutions across nearly 400 affiliates worldwide. 

His expertise encompasses Working Capital Management, Continuous Improvement, and Risk Management—disciplines that complement both his extensive professional experience and academic credentials. Jeff’s leadership and strategic vision continue to drive operational excellence and innovation within Merck’s global payments infrastructure.
