President & Senior Managing Director, Huntington Business Credit

Jay Schweiger joined Huntington Bank during August 2025 and is President & Senior Managing Director and Head of Huntington Business Credit (“HBC”). In this role, Jay manages a $7.5+ billion and 150+ client business within Huntington’s Asset Finance Group. HBC delivers Asset Based Lending solutions through a hybrid model of business generation both through Huntington partnership channels including local Middle Market coverage and CSG industry specialties and via its own business development efforts. HBC customers range from private equity owned companies to private and public companies of all sizes. HBC led financings range in size from $7.5 million to fully underwritten transactions exceeding $1 billion. 
 
Previously, Jay spent over 17 years at BMO Bank where he served as a Managing Director and team lead in the Asset Based Lending group managing all aspects of business development, underwriting, and portfolio management. Prior to BMO,  Jay’s career included roles at Bank of America Business Capital, FTI Consulting, Vation, Inc., and Arthur Anderson.
 
Jay holds a bachelors degree in business administration from the Wisconsin School of Business at the University of Wisconsin – Madison where he double majored in accounting and finance.
 
Jay actively serves on the boards of Chicago Hope Academy’s Entrepreneur Youth Engagement Program and Moving Lives Ahead. Previously, Jay was a long-time board member and Treasurer for the Career Transitions Center of Chicago. 
 
Jay enjoys traveling, golf, skiing, and actively supporting sports teams in his home state of Wisconsin. Jay, his wife Jill, and their two children live in Lake Zurich, IL.
