Elizabeth van Schilfgaarde is Managing Partner of NautaDutilh's New York office and head of its finance practice. NautaDutilh is a Dutch, Luxembourg, Belgian law firm with offices in New York and London. Elizabeth serves as Dutch counsel in a wide range of cross-border finance transactions, including asset-based lending. Elizabeth represents many of the leading international banks and direct lenders as well as borrowers.

Elizabeth is a Fellow of the American College of Commercial Finance Lawyers (ACCFL), making her one of the few European practitioners to be granted this honor. She is a Member Director of Secured Finance Network (SFNet), a member of the ABA Business Section Legal Opinions Committee, a member and past president of the American Foreign Law Association (AFLA) and she serves on the board of the NAF (Netherland America Foundation). Elizabeth is a regular speaker on cross border secured finance and cross border legal opinions.
