Cheryl Carner

Senior Managing Director of Originations, Siena Lending Group

Cheryl Carner is a Senior Managing Director of Originations at Siena Lending Group.  Her 25+ years of experience in structuring complex debt transactions, provides clients with solutions that enhance liquidity, finance growth and/or acquisitions and optimize the cost of capital. 

Prior to joining Siena Lending Group, she spent 13 years in business development and as a member of the investment committee at SLR Credit Solutions (formerly known as Crystal Financial) where she sourced, structured and executed over $1.2B of asset-based financings. Cheryl began her career at Fleet Retail Finance and then held roles focused on the retail, consumer, and restaurant sectors at CapitalSource and GE Franchise Finance.

​Cheryl contributes her skills to many non-profits including The Miriam Fund and Jewish Family Service of Metrowest.  She is a co-founder of the Boston Corporate Finance Community’s Gathers to Give Back event benefiting the non-profit, More Than Words.  This initiative has raised over $3.0MM in unrestricted funds since it’s inception in 2018.

​She received her MBA at the F. W. Olin Graduate School of Business at Babson College and her BBA at the University of Massachusetts at Amherst.
