Quarles Announces Election of New Partners

October 1, 2026 (Milwaukee) — The national law firm of Quarles & Brady LLP announced today that nine people have been elected to the firm’s partnership, effective today.

The new partners are: 
Mike Chargo, a member of the Corporate Group in the Madison, Wis. office. He advises on mergers and acquisitions and serves as outside general counsel for many of his clients. Mike’s clients include private equity firms, private equity-backed companies, ESOP-owned companies and privately held family-owned companies across a range of industries, including healthcare, manufacturing and services. He received a B.A. from the University of Iowa and a J.D. from Marquette University Law School. 

Shauna Manion, a Milwaukee-based member of the Litigation & Dispute Resolution Practice Group. She represents businesses and individuals in complex commercial disputes in federal and state courts, with a particular focus on contract, shareholder and other business litigation. Manion advises clients at every stage of the litigation process, from early case assessment and strategic counseling through trial and appeal. She earned her B.A. from the University of Wisconsin – Madison and J.D. from Penn State Dickinson Law. 

Shamika Mazyck, a Health & Life Sciences attorney in Indianapolis. She represents pharmacies, wholesale drug distributors, drug manufacturers, practitioner groups, home infusion providers and other healthcare entities in acquisitions and other strategic transactions. She also counsels private equity firms and healthcare companies on regulatory risks affecting transaction structure and execution, including multistate licensing and government payor considerations. Mazyck earned her B.A. from Hope College, M.S. from Wayne State University, and J.D. from Indiana University Robert H. McKinney School of Law. 

Nate Oesch, a member of the Litigation & Dispute Resolution Practice Group in the Milwaukee office. He focuses on appellate, class action defense, insurance coverage and intellectual property (IP) litigation matters, with an emphasis on proceedings in federal court. Oesch advises on issues related to antitrust and consumer class action defense, policy-holder side insurance coverage litigation and IP issues related to trademarks and copyrights. He earned a B.A. from St. John's College and J.D. from Marquette University Law School. 

Randy Pflum, a Madison-based Bankruptcy, Restructuring & Creditor’s Rights attorney. He counsels clients in matters related to business litigation, commercial litigation and all aspects of bankruptcy proceedings, receiverships and workouts. Pflum has extensive experience with Subchapter Vs, Chapter 11 plan issues, proofs of claims and related automatic stay issues. He received a B.A. from University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point and J.D. from University of Wisconsin Law School. 

Lauren Rosso, a Litigation & Dispute Resolution attorney in Milwaukee. She represents electric and natural gas utilities before the Public Service Commission of Wisconsin and on appeal. Rosso also litigates complex CERCLA and RCRA actions in federal court on behalf of potentially responsible parties, as well as environmental matters and other complex disputes in state and federal court. She has a B.A. from the University of Minnesota and J.D. from the University of Minnesota Law School. 

Aaron Sagedahl, a member of the Health & Life Sciences Practice Group in the Minneapolis office. He focuses on nationwide licensing and government program enrollment issues and compliance, business formation and general regulatory compliance issues. His clients include pharmacies, drug and device distributors and manufacturers, durable medical equipment suppliers, home health providers, infusion providers and long-term care providers. Aaron earned his B.A. from St. John's University and J.D. from Mitchell Hamline School of Law. 

Sydney VanBerg, a member of the Product Liability Practice Group in Madison. She defends clients against product liability and personal injury claims. VanBerg’s clients manufacture a variety of products across many different industries, including heavy equipment and recreational and commercial pool equipment. VanBerg also advises clients on warnings and safety practices before litigation starts. She received a B.A. from the University of Texas at Austin and J.D. from University of Wisconsin Law School. 

Julia Wischmeier, a Tampa-based member of the Litigation & Dispute Resolution Practice Group and Quarles team of native and fluent German-speaking attorneys. She counsels domestic and international clients on complex litigation matters in a variety of areas, including contracts, business torts, professional liability and class actions. Wischmeier is experienced in state and federal court. She has a B.S. from Florida Gulf Coast University and J.D. from Florida State University College of Law.
