Crowe Promotes Steven Edwards to Partner in Insolvency Team

Professional services firm Crowe has promoted Steven Edwards to partner in its Recovery Solutions team.

Based in the firm’s Kent offices, Steven Edwards is a licenced insolvency practitioner with more than 20 years of experience in corporate recovery and turnaround working with a variety of owner managed business and non-profit clients. He works closely with banks, asset based lenders, accountants and solicitors, providing advice to companies under financial stress.

Edwards has been with Crowe for over seven years, joining the accounting and consulting firm restructuring consultancy Opus Business Services in 2013. Earlier in his career, he spent nearly fifteen years at RSM Tenon and Benedict Mackenzie, where he focused on restructuring and insolvency engagements.

In the role of partner, he will continue to focus on helping companies (and high net worth individuals) navigate financial distress during what is anticipated to be a difficult year as they contend with financial issues resulting from the periods of lockdown and the unwinding of government support. Meanwhile, he will take on a number of internal partner responsibilities.

In the UK, Crowe has over 80 partners, leading a team of 900 accountants, consultants, tax experts, financial advisers and digital experts working from offices in Cheltenham, Kent, London, Manchester, Midlands and Thames Valley.

Earlier this year, Crowe added Grant Summers and Julia Poulter to its partner team.
