Looking Back At SFNet Europe Chapter’s Annual Event at NautaDutilh in Amsterdam

On Wednesday, March 12, 2025, SFNet Europe organized its annual Chapter Event in Amsterdam, hosted by NautaDutilh. The event kicked off with a NextGen event for young professionals in the ABL industry, followed by a networking lunch joined by the attendees to the main Chapter Event. In the afternoon, the main Chapter Event comprised of two expert sessions which explored the evolving ABL-financing landscape. Expert panelists discussed the importance of innovation and adaptability, focusing on alternative financing and structures, economic challenges, changing funding blends, and the use of ABL for acquisition financing structures. The event, which was greatly attended, concluded with a networking reception.

On Wednesday, March 12, 2025, SFNet Europe organized its annual Chapter Event: Innovating Capital Strategies, hosted by NautaDutilh in Amsterdam. The event kicked off in the morning with a NextGen event for young professionals in the ABL industry. This NextGen event featured an expert panel analyzing the lifecycle of an ABL transaction from the perspective of different disciplines in the industry, including banking, debt advisory, legal, valuation and field exam. The panel provided valuable insights into the different disciplines involved in an ABL deal, the pitfalls and challenges NextGen professionals may face, as well as the opportunities for NextGen professionals to contribute and add value to a deal.

The NextGen event was followed by a networking lunch, during which the attendees to the main program joined as well. The Chapter Event continued in the afternoon and comprised of two expert panels. The first panel explored alternative financing and structures relevant for ABL, while the second panel shared their perspectives on utilizing ABL financing in a dynamic economy. The Chapter Event concluded with a networking reception which provided a valuable opportunity to the attendees to connect and meet professionals in the ABL-industry.

The Chapter Event attracted a diverse group of over 100 attendees, reflecting the growing popularity of SFNet Europe Chapter’s events. Among the attendees were lenders, including Deutsche Bank, ABN AMRO, BNP, Coface, Credit Europe Bank, ING and Investec, debt advisors including Alvarez & Marsal, Axeco, Deutsche Numis and EY, law firms including NautaDutilh, DLA Piper, GreenbergTraurig, Houthoff, Mayer Brown, NortonRose, and Walder Wyss, and other service providers including AtlanticRMS, Finterface, European Valuations, and NTAB. The participants came from many different jurisdictions including the Netherlands, Belgium, Germany, England and Switzerland.
