2026 Summer Factoring Underwriting

July 15 to 16, 2026

Online, 2:00-5:00 pm ET each day

Description

Underwriting is far more than gathering data and reviewing invoices. Factoring underwriters must make sound judgments about collateral risk, debtor risk, and client operational risk, and the best decisions are grounded in experience and industry best practices.

This course helps participants establish stronger eligibility parameters on prospective deals by managing and mitigating known and perceived risks more effectively. Learn how industry leaders think through credit issues and approach risk by exploring:

  • A thorough and systematic overview of key factoring underwriting concepts
  • How to take control of the underwriting process and managing the expectations of both prospects and internal customers, including the sales team
  • Deepening awareness and understanding of accounts receivable and relevant supporting documentation
  • Developing analytical skills to identify inconsistencies and potential problems
  • Building the ability to propose strategies that minimize key risks for prospects and clients
  • Communicating and reporting findings effectively to decision makers

Eligible as a part of the 4 class Factoring Series registration. Member price $500 per class or $2000 for series, Non-Member price $600 per class or $2,400 for series. If interested, please contact Denise Castagna at dcastagna@sfnet.com.
