Online
2:00 p.m. - 5:00 p.m. ET each day

Description

In this advanced course, participants will step into the role of an underwriter navigating a complex asset-based lending (ABL) transaction. Using a real-world case study, you’ll begin with a Business Development Officer’s Screening Memo and follow the path of due diligence required to fully assess the credit opportunity.

You’ll examine key information sources to uncover and evaluate underwriting issues, including:

  • Borrower site visit insights
  • Background investigations on ownership and senior management
  • Financial Statement Analysis
  • Field exam findings
  • Industry analysis
  • Inventory, equipment, and real estate appraisals

Rather than drafting an approval memo, this course focuses on identifying, interpreting, and prioritizing the critical issues that emerge from each due diligence source—and understanding when and how to present them to senior credit decision-makers and investment committees.

Course Format:
This is a highly interactive, case-based course. Active, on-camera participation is required.
