2025 Spring ABL Underwriting Level 2

May 6 to 8, 2025

Online

Date and Time

May 6-8, 2025
Online
3:00 p.m. - 5:00 p.m. ET each day

Step into a case study of underwriting a complicated ABL deal, initially working from the Business Development Officer’s Screening Memo to uncover the critical due diligence steps needed to underwrite the transaction fully, then gleaning the appropriate underwriting issues from the following information sources:

  • Borrower site visit
  • Background investigations on ownership/senior management
  • Financial statement analysis
  • Field exam
  • Industry Analysis
  • Appraisals on Inventory, Equipment, and Real Estate

We will not “write” the underwriting approval memo during this course.  Rather, we will discern the multiple underwriting issues that emanate from each of the information sources listed above and discuss how and when to convey these issues to the Lender’s Senior Management/Investment Committee.

This program is geared towards participants with 3+ years in underwriting/portfolio management/risk management in secured lending.  Participants should have either taken Underwriting Level I or have a solid underpinning in credit analysis/underwriting in secured lending.

Active “on-camera” participation is required for this highly interactive course.
