Economist Keynote Speaker - Secured Finance in the Era of Crypto 
Blockchain technology holds the promise of improving the efficiency of the financial system by (i) increasing automation through smart contracts; (ii) allowing seamless interoperability using layer-1 distributed platforms; and (iii) settling transactions instantly and securely. Professor Fracassi will start with an overview about what crypto is, why it is important and where blockchain technology should or should not be used. He will conclude by discussing how businesses should prepare for a future where blockchain technology is integrated within the financial system, especially for the secured finance industry.
