Description

Learn from case studies of real deals gone wrong. The cases in Underwriting Level Two will take a look at the assumptions at the beginning of the deal, including over-looked due diligence items, to the evolvement of the deal through loan work-out, which resulted in losses for the lender and shareholders. Take away invaluable lessons learned to make better credit decisions in the future.

Attendees will....

  • Discuss case studies of problem loans and how structural and other elements    could protect lenders
  • Build effective skills in identifying weaknesses in the underwriting process
  • Learn about key topics that commonly arise in more complex
transactions, which could include: in-transit lending, e-tailing, current lien issues across multiple industries, split lien transactions, and pitfalls to be aware of by industry
  • Learn to better identify challenges and areas of focus in new loan underwritings based on various topics
