ABL lenders have traditionally relied on certain standard practices to gauge performance of the pledged collateral and to help identify aberrant behavior which may indicate fraud.   Many of those practices may be impossible to accomplish today or may provide misleading or inconclusive results.   We all want to work with our borrowers at this time but still remain vigilant for real problems or fraud within the portfolio.   If you find them, then what?  Mark Fagnani, former ABL lender and now senior managing director for Clear Thinking Group, a turnaround and advisory firm and Jeff Brandlin, President of Brandlin Associates, a leading forensic accounting firm that also does workouts and restructurings will lead a discussion detailing what used to work, why it might not work for the time being, what can be done in turn to help and what it all means in terms of safeguarding your ABL portfolio.
