Remembering William “Bill” Schoenholz
The secured finance community recently lost one of its most respected members with the passing of William “Bill” Schoenholz, a longtime partner at Buchalter and a highly regarded banking and finance attorney.
Bill devoted much of his 45-year legal career to Buchalter, where he served on the firm's Board of Directors and helped shape its growth and success. Widely recognized as a leading banking lawyer, he was a trusted advisor to financial institutions and lenders nationwide.
Beyond his professional accomplishments, Bill was known for his integrity, generosity, and ability to build lasting relationships. He was an active and valued member of the SFNet community for many years, where he earned the friendship and respect of colleagues throughout the industry.
Those who knew Bill will remember not only his legal excellence, but also his warmth, humility, sense of humor, and genuine interest in the people around him.
We extend our heartfelt condolences to Bill’s family, friends, colleagues, and all who had the privilege of knowing him. He will be deeply missed and fondly remembered.
