Chris brings a background in real estate and asset management to JPalmer Collective, with experience in financial analysis, collateral valuation, and portfolio management. At JPC, he helps evaluate new opportunities, assess collateral and credit risk, and support the ongoing management of the firm’s borrower portfolio.

This summer, for the second consecutive year JPalmer Collective initiated their 10-week summer internship program, welcoming five summer interns for a reimagined internship experience designed to be structured, intentional, and hands-on.

At the end of the 10-week summer internship program, Chris Grushko was offered a full-time position at JPalmer Collective highlighting a very effective way for companies to vet potential hires and help expose young people to secured finance and help them to build their skills.

Throughout the summer, the JPC interns gained exposure to asset-based lending by examining it through all of their verticals, including sales, underwriting, marketing, client relations, and portfolio management. They researched prospective clients, supported case study work, participated in functional learning sessions, and presented thoughtful takeaways from their experience in their final presentations.

One of the highlights of the program was a fireside chat with Jennifer Palmer, Founder & CEO of JPalmer Collective, and Gerald Joseph, Founder and former CEO of Gerber Finance and Chairman of JPC’s Advisory Board. Their conversation gave the interns valuable perspective on leadership, entrepreneurship, relationship-building, and the asset-based lending industry.
