PPL Announces Huge 2-Day Auction of Directional Drilling Equipment Assets

PPL Group LLC is executing three public auctions in the directional drilling sector for both underground utility contractors and oilfield services. On July 21 and July 22, 2026, PPL Group will hold a large, two-day auction for Intrepid Directional Drilling Services in Midland, TX that will attract buyers from the US, Canada, Brazil, Australia and the Middle East. This is one the largest auctions for directional drilling and measure while drilling (MWD) equipment in the last few years. The sale includes 800+ rotors, 200+ stators, mud motors and high-capacity forklifts.
PPL Group also recently completed a liquidation for International Directional Drilling, an underground utility and telecom contractor in Parkland, FL, that exceeded appraised values for a bank client and will conduct an auction for Houston-based Newsco International Energy Services in August.
