Ben Ellis Joins Windels Marx as Special Counsel

Windels Marx has announced the arrival of Benjamin M. Ellis as Special Counsel, resident in the New York office.
Ellis' practice focuses on representing banks, direct lenders, and factors in secured and unsecured lending transactions, as well as loan restructurings, workouts, and asset recovery matters. He has extensive experience in leading due diligence and structuring, negotiating and closing middle-market and small cap lending and factoring transactions.
Prior to Windels Marx, for more than 16 years, Ben was in-house counsel with a direct lender that focused on asset-based lending and factoring solutions for small and middle market borrowers across industries. In that capacity, he led the legal department as EVP, General Counsel. He also worked for an international law firm and a pro bono legal services firm that served poor, elderly and disabled residents of NYC.
Ben has a J.D. from Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law, a B.A. in Chemistry from the University of Arkansas at Little Rock, and a B.A. in German from the University of Arkansas. While in law school, Ben was an Articles Editor for the Cardozo Law Review (Note Published). He is admitted in New York.
