As Managing Director and CEO at Aegis, Jeff Mitchell oversees the Aegis funds, including Aegis Business Credit, Aegis Real Estate Capital, and Aegis Venture Fund. He is a key member of the Investment and Credit Committees and the executive team, leading asset origination, underwriting, credit policy, operational guidance, and portfolio management.

With over 35 years in banking and financial services, Mr. Mitchell specializes in asset-based, structured, and cash flow lending, having negotiated with CEOs and CFOs of companies with revenues up to $100 million. He has held senior executive roles at Woodforest National Bank, Crestmark Bank (now Pathward Financial), Action Capital Corporation, Dominion Business Finance, and First Union National Bank (now Wells Fargo).

Active in industry associations, he serves on the board of the Association for Corporate Growth and participates in the Secured Finance Network and the Turnaround Management Association. Mr. Mitchell earned a degree in Economics and International Affairs from Florida State University.
