Court Issues Summary Judgment in Favor of California DFPI

As you may be aware, the Small Business Finance Association , a trade association representing various entities which finance future sales, filed a lawsuit in California federal district court seeking to enjoin the California Department of Financial Protection and Innovation (DFPI) from enforcing the final regulations (Regulations) issued by the DFPI to implement California’s commercial financing disclosure law.  Earlier this week, the Court issued a decision granting summary judgment in favor of the DFPI. SFNet will continue to monitor this matter if this decision is appealed.
