The Fund offers investors diversified access across multiple specialist boutique private lending platforms with a particular focus on asset-based lending.

SFNet Member Director: Mike Dowdall

Mike oversees the day-to-day management of the Alternative Fund Advisors investment funds and is the portfolio manager of the AFA Multi-Manager Credit Fund. He is a member of the firm’s Investment Policy Committee and is responsible for risk management and liquidity management for the AFA Multi-Manager Credit Fund, as well as monitoring the performance of the underlying investment strategies.

Prior to joining Alternative Fund Advisors, Mike was a director and portfolio manager at BMO Global Asset Management, where he managed the US multi-asset and multi-alternative portfolios. He was a member of the firm’s Global Asset Allocation Committee, where he led credit research and tactical positioning for the firm’s global multi-asset portfolios. Before BMO, Mike was an investment analyst at Lighthouse Partners, where he focused on allocating to fixed income and relative value hedge fund strategies.

Mike is a member of the CFA Society of Chicago and is a CFA Charterholder. He received an MBA from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business and a Bachelor of Business Administration from the University of Notre Dame.
