BDO Consulting Group, LLC Promotes Nick Welch to Managing Director in its Business Restructuring and Turnaround Services Practice

BDO Consulting Group, LLC has promoted Nick Welch to managing director in the firm’s Business Restructuring and Turnaround Services practice. Nick is based in Miami, Florida and covers the Southeast regional market. A seasoned financial advisor, Nick has more than 20 years of experience in professional services and has spent the last decade advising private equity groups, lenders, and management teams on debt and operational restructuring strategies as well as interim management and transaction services.

Nick has helped senior lenders, private equity groups, family offices and management teams navigate business challenges and release or create cash flow through debt restructuring, operational improvements and M&A strategy and execution. Nick has experience throughout the corporate life cycle from start-up to liquidation, and focuses on the enhancement, turnaround and stabilization of challenged companies, stakeholder management and transaction advisory. His experience spans numerous industries in the U.S. and Europe, including retail, leisure and hospitality, healthcare, renewable energy and fintech.

Nick was honored in SFNet’s 40 Under 40 Awards 2022 and was previously awarded Turnaround Management Association (TMA)’s “Young Turnaround Professional of the Year”. He is a board member of TMA’s NextGen Atlanta Chapter and SFNet’s South Florida Chapter. In addition, Nick is a Fellow Chartered Accountant of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England & Wales (ICAEW) and studied at BPP Professional Education in London, U.K.
