The Miami-based fintech and trade finance specialist has added three new industry experts to its Business Development team.
Marco EVP & Senior Managing Director Barry Kastner commented: “I’m pleased to add three experienced professionals to our Business Development Team. Each has the talent and experience that will contribute to our rapid growth that we have experienced since inception. Their diversification in location and specialization will ensure that our prospects and referral sources are provided with excellent service.”
Chip Scoggins joins Marco's Dallas regional office as SVP of business development. With 35 years of experience in the commercial finance and banking industries, his background includes asset-based lending, factoring, healthcare finance, and purchase order financing to small- and medium-sized commercial businesses in the Southwest and across the United States. Apart from his extensive business development experience, Chip brings additional experience in credit, operations, and managing turnaround portfolios. His experience includes a strong background in structuring customized capital solutions to a wide base of industries and businesses involved in services, wholesale distribution, manufacturing, assembly, fabrication, importers and exporters.
Also set to make a major impact within Marco's business development team is Carlos M. Herrera. A noteworthy sales executive in the financial industry for over 25 years, Carlos will be working out of Marco's Miami office as VP of Business Development. He is well known for his work at Xynergy Capital where he spent the last 9 years specialized in factoring for the healthcare industry, but Carlos can be also credited for his successful career in other companies within the trade finance space, trucking and general factoring, supply chain finance, and purchase order financing.
William C. Avedon rounds out the list of the latest BD hires for Marco. Having spent 12 years in Beijing building global brands from the ground up in the Greater China market, William has an outstanding track record of developing client and distribution networks in over 60 countries. Before Marco, William was Vice President of Sales at Tradewind Finance, where he was responsible for new business origination and structuring of trade finance facilities for high-growth client companies from $5M to $1B in annual revenue operating across all continents and a diverse set of industries including consumer, tech, industrial, and agriculture among others. Due to his time in Beijing, William is fluent in Mandarin Chinese. His language skills, along with his dynamic, international experience, strengthen the reach of Marco's global network.
These three hires are not only expected to drive growth into diverse new regions and industries for Marco Capital but also exceed revenue goals for 2021.
