Hilco Streambank is seeking offers to acquire or license the intellectual property portfolio and related assets of Heatworks Technologies, Inc., including a robust, worldwide patent portfolio, trademarks, CAD and other design files, product prototypes, test data, proprietary software, and more. Finished inventory embodying the commercialized technology may also be available. 

The bid deadline is December 1, 2022. The auction is December 8, 2022.

The company developed and commercialized novel liquid heating technology that utilizes graphite electrodes to pass controlled electric currents through any surrounding conductive liquid, utilizing the liquid itself as the electrical resistor. The process nearly instantaneously heats the liquid passed through the electrodes and overcomes the shortcomings of traditionally immersed metallic heating elements. 

The company has commercialized the technology in a first-of-its-kind, smart, electric, tankless water heater and has developed prototypes for a countertop dishwasher requiring no separate water supply or waste line connections, as well as a dual-sided, instant heated beverage carafe.
