Head of Asset-Based Finance, Bank of America

Seth Benefield is the head of Asset-based Finance (ABF), part of the Enterprise Credit division at Bank of America.

In this role, Benefield leads an international team of asset-based lenders and is responsible for credit relationships within the following groups: Leasing, Dealer Financial Services, Retail Finance Group, Trade Receivables Securitization Finance and Bank of America Business Capital (BABC).

Benefield became head of ABF in 2020, and has been with the bank since 2000. Prior to this role, Benefield served as National Marketing Manager for BABC, where he managed a team of business development officers who provide asset-based solutions and banking products to large and middle market companies, intermediates and financial sponsors across the U.S. and Europe. Prior to joining the bank, he served as a special agent in the Federal Bureau of Investigations.

Benefield earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Accounting from the University of Georgia. He is a Certified Public Accountant and holds Series 7, 24, 63 and 79 FINRA registrations.

Benefield resides in Atlanta, GA with his wife, Laura and two children.
