Kate Paul

Kate Paul is a Director of Originations at BMO Bank based in San Francisco covering new Asset Based Lending opportunities across Northern California and the Pacific Northwest. With over a decade of banking experience, she has held progressively senior roles across commercial banking, global risk management, specialty finance and syndications at leading financial institutions.
She specializes in originating, structuring, and executing ABL transactions across bilateral and syndicated deals, working closely with corporate clients and private equity sponsors. Kate has led full deal execution from prospecting through underwriting, with a strong focus on relationship development, disciplined risk management, and delivering in fast-paced, high-pressure environments. She is currently focused on expanding BMO’s market share in the Western U.S., while also mentoring the next generation of banking talent.
Kate holds a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Calgary (Haskayne School of Business) and built her career in Toronto before relocating to San Francisco in early 2026.
