James Croke is a partner in Sidley’s Global Finance group, where he advises a wide range of clients — including private credit funds, commercial and investment banks, hedge funds, insurance companies, public and private corporations, and private equity funds and their portfolio companies.

James counsels these clients on a full spectrum of financing transactions, from senior secured and unsecured credit facilities to first- and second-lien, syndicated, bilateral, unitranche, and mezzanine financings. His experience spans cash-flow, asset-based, and split-lien structures, as well as workouts, restructurings, debtor-in-possession facilities, and other complex distressed financings.

With deep experience in acquisition financings and other transformative transactions, James has led deals across a broad range of markets — from middle-market transactions to large-cap, cross-border facilities.
